The inspection of Utkarsh Mahotsav (Excellence Festival) was successfully completed on the second day of the event at Katlicherra Saraswati Vidyaniketan, following the plan for the North-Eastern region aimed at the all-round quality development of schools managed by Vidya Bharati.
Among the inspectors present at the festival were Dipankar Paul (Secretary of Shiksha Vikash Parishad, South Assam Zone), Mrinalkanti Das (Secretary of Panchgram Saraswati Vidyaniketan), Nidhu Purkayastha (Former Teacher of Amdacharan Girls’ High School), Rituranjan Das (Acharya of Panchgram Saraswati Vidyaniketan), Acharya Benu Dhar Sarkar, and former student Debangshu Ghosh.
The school’s Headmistress, Sumita Paul Dhar, along with the inspectors and other guests, inaugurated the second Utkarsh Mahotsav by lighting the lamp. This festival was first held in 2018.
After the Saraswati Vandana (prayer), the guests were welcomed with sandalwood paste (chandan phota) and ceremonial scarves (uttariya), followed by a formal reception. The inspectors then deeply observed various aspects of the school’s comprehensive development.
Impressed by the answers given by the students to some of their questions, the inspectors remarked that the entire school is moving forward in an educational environment. They stated that this inspection of the Utkarsh Mahotsav is a revolutionary step, part of a plan aimed at the quality development of Vidya Bharati-managed schools.
Aspects inspected included:
- The teaching process and classroom environment.
- Teaching methods used by teachers.
- Student participation and learning quality.
- Management and infrastructure.
- Cultural programs.
- Environmental awareness and student welfare activities.
- Teacher-student relationships, discipline, value education, and parent-teacher connection.
Towards the end of the program, Dr. Debajit De (Professor at S.K. Roy College, Katlicherra), Leena Deb, Headmistress Sumita Paul, Vice-Headmistress Namita Das, Acharya Satyajit De, and Shiban Singh bid farewell to the guests by presenting them with saplings.
Other distinguished attendees at the event included Leena Deb (Vice-President of the Management Committee), Biditranjan Chowdhury (Assistant Secretary), and members Dipak Kanti Aich and Pranab Deb, among others.
Headmistress Sumita Paul Dhar mentioned that everyone enjoyed the Utkarsh Mahotsav and that such programs are very useful. She expressed hope that through this festival, the school would advance further on the path of progress.
