Keeping the “Clean Lala, Green Lala” slogan of the Swachh Bharat Mission at the forefront, the Saptadhara program was recently held at Lala’s PM Shri GS Memorial High School. The main objective of this program, under RMSA (Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan), was to keep the school and its surrounding areas clean and to foster cleanliness and environmental awareness among students.
With the active participation of students, the program involved cleaning the school premises as well as the Lalabazar Railway Station. Alongside this, awareness discussions were held on topics such as avoiding plastic waste, increasing greenery, and building a healthy environment.
Teachers highlighted the importance of cleanliness in daily life to the students and emphasized the necessity of everyone’s collective initiative to keep society beautiful. In addition to the school teachers, students including Jeet Das, Rajat Nunia, Bipram Nath, Soumitra Ray, Sourav Rabidas, Sourav Das, Ranju Nath, Sabita Das, Prajati Nath, Raj Nath, and others participated in the program.
The event was concluded in a disciplined manner and played a significant role in spreading the message of environmental protection and cleanliness among the students. The program was led by Rajdeep Nath and the school’s Headmaster, Bijankanti Nath.
