Abdul Goni Laskar arrested after nocturnal raid in Lalacherra; 10,000 tablets recovered
A midnight operation by Lala Police resulted in the seizure of 10,000 Yaba tablets and the arrest of a 40-year-old man involved in transporting the contraband.
Abdul Goni Laskar from the Lalpani area in Bilaipur was apprehended during the raid conducted in Lalacherra on Sunday night. The accused attempted to flee when police arrived but was caught by the raiding team.
The contraband, weighing 984.40 grams with an estimated street value of approximately ₹40 lakh, was recovered during the operation led by Devanand Das, Officer-in-Charge of Lala Police Station. Police sources revealed that the department had received secret intelligence about the nocturnal transportation of Yaba tablets, prompting the midnight crackdown.
Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the Lala Police intercepted the drug transport operation and successfully seized the entire consignment. The operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
