Farewell Ceremony Held for 8th Graders at Chanmari Tribal ME School

The students and staff of Chanmari Tribal ME School, under the Gaglacherra Cluster, bid an emotional farewell to their outgoing eighth-grade batch on Wednesday. The ceremony was organized by the seventh-grade students, who formally hosted the reception to honor their seniors.

The event was presided over by School Managing Committee (SMC) President Mayna Robidas. The proceedings began with a warm welcome for the dignitaries, where students presented uttariyas (ceremonial scarves) to Chief Guest and Cluster CRCC Manoj Pandey, Headmistress Rupali Kanu, Science Teacher Lal Mohammad, and Assistant Teachers Altab Hossain Mazumder, Farid Ali Ahmed, and Archana Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Manoj Pandey extended his best wishes for the students’ future endeavors. He urged the outgoing batch to shape their careers through dedication and consistent study. Pandey also cautioned the students against dropping out, emphasizing that while life may present various obstacles and difficulties, they must face these challenges with competence and never turn away from their education.

Science Teacher Lal Mohammad spoke on the significance of moral character in a student’s life. He advised the children to remain respectful toward their parents and elders while pursuing their academic goals, stressing that character building is as vital as quality education.

The cultural aspect of the event featured an opening song and dance performance by the students. The program was anchored by Teacher Farid Ali Ahmed, assisted by Assistant Teacher Archana Singh. Other notable speakers included Headmistress Rupali Kanu and SMC President Mayna Robidas.

The atmosphere turned nostalgic as junior students shared sweets and gifts with the eighth-graders, bidding them goodbye with a mix of emotion and enthusiasm. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes for internal evaluations across various categories, including a special award presented to the year’s best all-around student.
