District to hold simultaneous distribution programmes at eight venues; Chief Minister to launch event virtually.
Hailakandi, March 9: More than 64,000 beneficiaries in Hailakandi district are set to receive financial assistance of ₹9,000 each today under the Arunodoi scheme, with distribution programmes scheduled at eight locations across the district.
Officials said the assistance will be credited directly to the beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. In total, 64,007 eligible recipients will receive the financial support as part of the government initiative.
The main distribution event will take place in Hailakandi town, while parallel programmes have been arranged in other parts of the district to facilitate the process. Apart from the central venue, the district administration has organised events at six venues in the rural development blocks and two venues in the Lala constituency area.
The programme is expected to be virtually inaugurated by the Chief Minister from Guwahati, Khanapara where he will also address the beneficiaries through a video conference.
District officials said necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure the smooth conduct of the programmes and the efficient transfer of funds to all eligible beneficiaries.
