Child Health Screening Camp Held at Lala Primary Health Centre

Over 100 students examined under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram initiative.

A health screening camp for children and adolescents was conducted at the Lala Primary Health Centre as part of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), a national programme focused on improving child health.

The camp targeted students aged 6 to 18 years, with more than 100 students from different schools arriving at the health centre for medical examinations. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Partha Mandal, Medical Officer of the Lala Primary Health Centre.

During the initiative, a team of doctors carried out detailed health check-ups to identify possible physical ailments and ensure that necessary treatment could be provided at an early stage. The medical team included Dr. Sara Majumdar, Dr. Saumitra Banik, Dr. R. Singh and Dr. M. Sinha, along with other healthcare professionals.

Students were screened for various common health conditions and were given medical advice where needed. As part of the programme, free medicines were also distributed to those requiring treatment.

The camp was organised with the support of hospital personnel led by Medical Officer-in-Charge Dr. Tushar Das, along with several healthcare workers and assistants who helped coordinate the examinations and manage the arrangements.

Teachers and school authorities accompanied the students to the health centre, ensuring their participation in the programme. Health department officials noted that such initiatives play a key role in early detection of health problems among children and contribute to improving the overall well-being of students in the region.
